Public movement in opposition to the Armenian Turkish Protocols

Today, October 3rd the Armenian Community of Argentina, Buenos Aires made a public ceremony in protest to the announcement by the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Turkey with the aim of reestablishing diplomatic relations between both states, and which set unacceptable preconditions for Armenia.

At the Armenians Martyrs Monument, located in the Armenian Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator, more than 1500 participants expressed against the signing of an agreement which contains the normalization of the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey based in protocols that question the historical veracity of the genocide. These, prevent any claim for the occupied territories by Turkey as a result of the genocide. Also, jeopardize the resolution of the Karabagh conflict based in the Self-Determination right of the Karabagh´s people.

Communitarian leaders and intellectuals expressed their strong reject to the preconditions imposed by Turkey in order to establish diplomatic relations with Armenia inviting to the Armenian people to continue struggling for the Armenian Cause.
