Voice your Concerns regarding the Protocols

Dear Ambassador Markarian and Ambassador Nazarian:

I write to express my dismay and outrage over the recent protocol signed by the Armenian and Turkish foreign ministries. The content of this protocol is offensive and greatly damages Armenian national interests, and I am greatly discouraged that any Armenian government would give its assent to such provisions. While Turkey continues to deny the Genocide of 1915, Yerevan is now allowing the truth of the Armenian Genocide to become a debatable issue – this after years of hard work have affirmed it as incontrovertible. At the same time, Armenia is essentially relinquishing our rights to Western Armenia by formally recognizing Turkey’s current borders under international law. Moreover, it has remained silent while Turkey continues to make parallel pronouncements that normalization must be linked with a Karabagh settlement acceptable to Azerbaijan.

I strongly condemn these moves and, with all due respect, urgently demand that you convey these concerns to the Armenian Foreign Minister in Yerevan. I sincerely hope that our government will re-evaluate its position.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

The people of Armenia, Gharabakh (Artsakh)and the diaspora are all Armenians. In numbers we are few, and because of that we all have an equal obligation towards the Homeland and any issue pertaining to Armenians. We may all have different views and opinions, different approaches and analyses, different perspectives and different solutions, but regardless of everything, our common goals and objectives are the same. We are united with our past and our future. Our demands have been engraved in our history and our culture.
Now is the time. Now is the time upon which the future of Armenia can be decided. The memories of our nations past are and will always be a part of who we are. One nation under One God, indivisible, under one flag, with Liberty and Justice for all.
Yes, we’ve been there and we’ve seen it all, and the memories of yesterday are still alive. No, we’ve not forgotten neither have we lost our faith or determination. Our people stood firm against all odds, but yet preserved their pride, their honor and their dignity. No History and no Empire could shake the Moral Courage of our people. Yesterday we were Armenians. Today we are all Armenians, and as just we’ve preserved our heritage for millenniums, our people is destined to give all in the name of Armenia and Armenians.
If we claim to be wise, then let us see if we can sit and talk. Let us see if we can think and listen. Let us see if we can remain united.
If we fail this test, the extinction of our people will be within reach.

Now is the time. So let us seize the moment.
Now is the time, cause if we fail today there will be no tomorrow.

United we Stand and Divided we Fall,
    God Bless Armenia and Armenians.

Bravo Michael.. Your article left me with tears.. It was moving, and very powerful. I stand 110% behind what you said .

Without being united, we will never bring down the beast. Without being united, we will never save our homeland and its future. Without being united, our future generation may never see the blue sky, the rich soil, and the pride of the mother Armenia. Are we that weak to allow a country unworthy of existance on this planet.. Are we that blind to turn our heads and let them do whatever they want. Why do we allow what is ours to be what they claim to be theirs.. We have the right to own what belonged to Armenians and we are the one who need to scream from the top of the world and not Turkey.. Bloody Turkey.. We can’t let it happen.. we JUST CAN”T let them win again.

I want to use Michael’s ending statement because it has such powerful words.. UNITED WE STAND AND DIVIDED WE FALL.. GOD BLESS ARMENIA AND ARMENIANS..
